Scottsdale, AZ – RM Sotheby’s opens the 2025 auction season on 24 January at the iconic Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. Featuring a stellar selection of pre-war classics, iconic sports cars, and cutting-edge hypercars, the event promises something extraordinary for every collector.

The start of the auction season begins each year in Arizona as collectors from around the world arrive in the greater Phoenix-Scottsdale area for Car Week, a beloved tradition amongst car enthusiasts. A week chock-full of events, auctions, and parties; RM Sotheby’s is pleased to return to the Biltmore Hotel Resort & Spa for its 27th year as the premier auction of the weeklong affair.

Highlights include:

The 1931 Bentley 8-Litre Convertible Victoria, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece by Walter M. Murphy Company, combines American craftsmanship with W.O. Bentley’s engineering brilliance. Meticulously restored with its original engine and Murphy coachwork, it has been celebrated at Pebble Beach as one of the 100 most beautiful cars. Estimated at $2,750,000–$3,250,000.
The 2020 McLaren Senna GTR, the 73rd of just 75 built, is a track-focused masterpiece featuring an 833-horsepower twin-turbocharged V-8 and $75,000 in bespoke MSO options. Its striking Ayrton Senna-inspired livery highlights its motorsport pedigree. Estimate: $1,000,000–$1,200,000.
The 2007 Saleen S7 LM, one of just three built to LM specifications, features a twin-turbocharged 7.0-liter V-8 producing 1,000 horsepower. A rare icon of American innovation, it represents the pinnacle of Saleen’s supercar legacy. Estimate: $900,000–$1,100,000.
The Pacific Highway Collection: Features iconic California drivers’ cars, including the Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France and Mercedes 300 SL Roadster, celebrating design, performance, and craftsmanship.
The Janet Cussler Car Collection: Offers rare pre-war classics such as the 1911 Pierce-Arrow Model 66-A and the 1939 Lincoln-Zephyr Three-Window Coupe, providing a unique opportunity to own pieces of early automotive history, all without reserve.
A trio of legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs, including both Gullwing and Roadster variants, showcasing the pinnacle of 1950s luxury and performance.
