Global entertainment media brand Variety and Cannes International Series Festival CANNESERIES will present the second Variety Icon Award for CANNESERIES for outstanding achievement in acting to the acclaimed and award-winning actress Diana Rigg (The Avengers, Game of Thrones)
The Variety Icon Award for CANNESERIES recognizes outstanding achievement in acting—this year’s award will be given to a star whose powerful performances have elicited praise from both critics and fans alike, whether in film, television or stage.
Dame Diana Rigg is a legendary actress who has given us classic television characters ranging from Emma Peel, the reckless and ingenious spy on The Avengers, to the implacable Olenna Tyrell on Game Of Thrones, to a wise conservative lady on Victoria.
