Sotheby’s Hong Kong is delighted to open our Summer Wine & Spirits sales with a truly mind-blowing Single Owner collection: The Immaculate Leroy Cellar | Flawless Provenance. This is one of the most impressive collections of Domaines Leroy and d’Auvenay to be offered in recent years. What’s more, the provenance is quite simply unimpeachable. It is a privilege to offer this selection of iconic wines from these 2 domaines in such glorious condition, with ironclad provenance and history. A surefire reason for collectors to bid extremely confidently across the incredible array of lots offered here.

All of the wines in this Single Owner sale were purchased directly from Domaine Leroy and d’Auvenay upon release in Europe, whereupon they were shipped directly to Hong Kong via temperature control and kept in professional storage, never being removed, opened or even moved before inspection by Sotheby’s team of Specialists. The Domaine d’Auvenay and Leroy wines in this collection are extremely notable for being offered in the rare format of 3-bottle Original Wooden Cases from the Domaine, all of which were sealed prior to Sotheby’s taking custody of the wines.

This extremely focused sale comprises just 107 lots of the very best wines from these luminary domaines. Alongside 54 lots from Leroy and 34 lots from d’Auvenay, we are also delighted to present aged icons from DRC, beautiful 2018 and 2019s from Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, and finally closing with a handful of stunning Original Wooden Cases from Chassagne icon Lamy-Caillat.
