Haute Photographie returns to Art Rotterdam Week
Haute Photographie, the photography fair with a concept unlike anyother, returns to Rotterdam from 8 to 11th February 2018. Centered around a group exhibition, Haute Photographie features works by the grand masters of photography to the youngest and most exciting talents working with the medium today. This collection brings together a select group of international galleries from New York to Milan. Strengthened by a fascinating educational programme, created in collaboration with Nederlands Fotomuseum, and a high – quality book market curated by Artibooks, visitors can explore and enjoy the many facets of fine art photography at the 4 – day event. Haute Photographie will be a meeting place for artists, curators, collectors – both young and experienced – and anyone with a genuine love for photography.
All participating galleries from the 2017 edition will be returning to the fair. Alongside Haute’s main exhibition, focus exhibitions will offer detailed looks at the past and the future of photography. The Vintage Show will present vintage artworks from the collections of the participating galleries, bringing together extraordinary names from the history of photography. The most intriguing photography talents from the Netherlands will get a platform at The Haute Talent exhibition. The Talent exhibition is powered by the yearly publication New Dutch Photography Talent, published by x – publishers.
As in previous years, Haute Photographie will takeover LP2 in LasPalmas at Rotterdam’s Kop van Zuid district, where it will share its entrance with Nederlands Fotomuseum.Haute and the leading national museum for photography will collaborate closely in order to create a true photography hub during the annual Art Rotterdam Week.
Together with its partners, Haute Photographie will offer a diverse program for its visitors. The program will include lectures, tours and workshops, all to deepen the knowledge of the visitors about the world of fine art photography.
Haute Photographie
Haute Photographie is an international photography fair with a refreshing take on the fair format. Initiated by Roy Kahmann, director of Kahmann Gallery, publisher of GUP Magazine and a long – term advocate of photography in the Netherlands, Haute was officially launched as part of Art Rotterdam Week in February 2017.The fair takes a carefully curated exhibition as its starting point, which provides a fascinating look at photography as a fine art medium. Accompanied by a focus exhibition on young Dutch photography talent, a talks program in association with Nederlands Fotomuseum, a book market in collaboration with Artibooks and more, Haute will return to be a must visit during the Rotter dam Art Week 2018, one of the key events in contemporary art in the Netherlands.
