Gallery Weekend
The Gallery Weekend is organised by abc GWB Veranstaltungs UG, an association of gallery owners in Berlin with the joint aim of promoting Berlin as an art market location and bringing together its participants. Gallery Weekend Berlin was started in 2005, and every year on this weekend, the capital becomes a hot spot for art lovers and collectors. For two days and nights, around 50 galleries all over Berlin open their doors. As well as the big names, a number of newer galleries also take part in the event, presenting works by up – and – coming and established artists. Up to 30,000 visitors from all over the world come to Berlin for Gallery Weekend to experience and share the capital’s creative scene
