CANNESERIES – THE COMPETITION 2018

CANNESERIES COMPETITION

CANNESERIES Official Competition takes place from 07 to 11 of April 2018 and will unveil 10 series from Belgium, Germany, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Norway, South Korea, Spain and USA.Writer and showrunner Harlan Coben (USA) will preside over a Jury composed of jury members actress Paula Beer(Germany), screen writer/director Audrey Fouché (France), actress Melisa Sözen(Turkey), composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Chile/Canada) and actor Michael Kenneth Williams (USA).

On Wednesday April 11, the Jury will present the award winners in the categories of Best Music, Best Screenplay, Special Performance Prize, Best Performance and Best Series with a CANNESERIES original Trophy specially designed by Californian artist Steven Harrington.

Also presented at the Awards ceremony by the CANNESERIES Digital Jury will be the award for the Best Digital Series to one of the ten short form web series selected.

CANNESERIESDigital, the competition dedicated to short format web series will run alongside the Official Competition on Wednesday April 11.

Award for Best Digital Series:

The CANNESERIES Digital Competition jury will be presided by writer, director and actor Adi Shankar (India/US), who will be joined by actress Jessica Barden (UK) and writer/director Ed Solomon (US). Together the jury will screen a selection of 10 world premiere short format series from all over the world and will present the award winning series in the category of Best Digital Series at the official CANNESERIES Award Ceremony – broadcast live on CANAL+ – on Wednesday, April 11.
